There are even multiple stories of them sending out the wrong item but refusing to do anything to rectify the situation.

Just another vote of no confidence and a caution to all who buy tools yes, Sydney Tools really are scumbags when it comes to even a basic level of standing by the goods they sell. I received (without asking) a couple of cutting discs added to my purchase for nothing because of the wait.

Ordered a combo of tools which never arrived past the stated delivery timeframe. I've bought from them 5-6 times and never had an issue. Seems a bit odd so far. Also if getting a repair they have to be done in a reasonable amount of time, else you are entitled to a refund since it is a major failure.

This is the worst customer experience I have ever had from a rather big retailer and I highly recommend not using this retailer.
The product is listed with a one year warranty but the Makita site specifically states skins have a three year warranty and batteries have a two year warranty.
I wonder if they packaged up some one else's order into the parcel by mistake.

I came in wanting a couple of Milwaukee products in a kit, but I was shown a range of extra tools that I would actually use and was very happy with the price of the package offered.
When I asked if they had the charger/single 2.0amp battery kit in stock he said no, but could put it together for the discount the kit provided.
Drove 2 hours to their store to pick it up, only to find out it wasn't there yet, but they expected it in about three hours.

Maybe Im being unreasonable here but personally it annoys me when businesses only tell you that processing/shipping may be held up for a fraud verification process after you have clicked purchase and they have taken your cash. I am very happy with the Makita electric chainsaw I purchased from them. Not happy, but accepted as I knew I would use it anyway. I have only just discovered this thread and, frankly, I am amazed by the number of people who do not like Sydney Tools. I regularly read posts from these forums to evaluate if I am going to buy or use certain products from supposed credible sellers, I find that out of these posts I have not dealt with a product that has left me out of pocket.
Orders have always been within 1 day to 2 weeks depending of where it was coming from in the country etc. They're also in the business of giving out fake tracking numbers. Sydney Tools was founded in 2001 and currently operates through Sydney Tools online and in over 70 stores across New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, Australian Capital Territory, Northern Territory, Western Australia and South Australia. They never had it in stock. After I received the tools (everything was as ordered) I rang the sales person and thanked them. Well I made the mistake of paying a deposit & getting them to order me a tool that was not on their shelf even though I showed the salesman on my phone that it said in stock. Oh, and I said transactions because unlike some other places that just take a couple of cents and have you verify that amount, these guys take the full amount but in two transactions and hold your money while they wait for verification from you.
Don't rely on their advice as they only sell the stuff, they wouldn't use any of it.
